How long will it take?

Have you had enough yet? Are you ready to act? Or are you satisfied with the status quo?

I recently became awakened to the deterioration of the freedoms that Americans claim to hold dear. It saddens me to think that there are Americans who will use their vote as if they are participating in a popularity contest or a horse race. By doing this, we as a nation are allowing our freedoms to slip away. We need to get back to the idea that voting is serious business and not to be done without careful study and understanding.

Do not let some politician tell you who he is or what he believes in. How many times has that worked out to our benefit? Research the voting records of those in the race. If they have been voting for war, yet claim to be against war...What does that tell you?

Study the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. See what our founding fathers thought of government that refuses to listen to the people.
Find out what powers the federal government is supposed to have and don't let them talk you into thinking that they know better than you what your rights are or what is best for you.

We are not ignorant masses who are not intelligent enough to decide how to vote, what to allow or what is best for us. I don't need the government to take care of me...They've screwed it up enough.

Wake up and take responsibility for your future. Don't let someone tell you that they can and should take care of you. Fight for the privilege of standing on your own two feet. Don't let someone con you out of your birthright as an American.
